John Stossel laments Wisconsin's plan for "free healthcare"

John Stossel reports about Wisconsin's recent decision to forge ahead with "free healthcare" for its citizens.

It's well known that I've long been a staunch opponent of universal healthcare, but to read that the very state where I was born and raised is now experimenting with such a program tears at my heart.

What we need to be doing is pursuing free market solutions and putting the decision making power back in the hands of the consumer, not the government. Wisconsin has it totally backwards! Perhaps we need to remind our friends in the Madison Capitol of Ronald Reagan's famous words, "Government is not the solution, government is the problem."
