Foster Friess : Networking for Private Sector Solutions

A private sector solution to the growing need for health care

Tens of millions of Americans lack reasonable access to medical care.  While the government spends ever-increasing amounts to provide for public health, this action is failing.  The Private Sector Solutions network seeks to address this problem through Mobile Medical Ministries (M3); a non-profit Christian ministry bringing holistic primary medical care to underserved communities using modern, efficient mobile clinics.

By bringing health care right into the most needy neighborhoods, they are efficient and practical.  These mobile clinics are operated by independent local entities in partnership with neighborhood Christian churches.  M3 desires to empower and encourage the Christian Church as a leading partner in the delivery of quality health care services to those without access.

Garry, I hope you will check out the work assembled under the Healthcare banner. There are numerous ways to provide better healthcare for our population and several are suggested for interested folks like yourself. A major point for me is that the government takeover is not a solution and causes different and even more serious problems.

This private section initiative would have some effect, but if tens of millions lack reasonable access to medical care it can hardly be a complete solution. Americans neeed a political solution such as proposed by Senator Jim Dimont. This could be funded by a new Sales "fair" tax, provided there were exemptions for Food, basic clothes, children's food and necessities, standard medicines available only on prescription, disability aids, basic funeral costs, residential care for the aged/mentally ill/ infirm, costs associated with pregnancy.
