Tennessee’s Democrat Governor leads charge against Washington health mandates

Washington debates health reform that requires individual states to bear the burden of increased costs.  Democratic Governor Phil Bredesen says, “We can’t print money. We can’t borrow money.  A lot of staffers in Congress really don’t understand this idea of a balanced budget.”

In the short term, it looks like political genius for Washington politicians, yet in the long run it’s our states who will suffer.  Dick Morris writes, “The Senators and Congressmen in Washington get the credit for spreading largesse but the Governors in the states get the blame for the taxes that are needed to pay for it.”
