New federal sign postings warn residents to avoid certain border areas due to “criminal activity.” The Governor says undefended land within the American border is “unacceptable.” The letter is a strong call for federal government action to secure the border including keeping public promises made but not implemented; National Guard Troops and $500 million in additional funds. During their recent meeting the President promised a full plan but remains silent on details. The Governor again requests forward movement on these additional plans.
Gov. Brewer also outlined her own plan to accomplish Arizona’s border security goals; the ”Border Surge Strategy.” Pres. Obama might recognize the name’s familiar ring. Read letter.Be the first to comment on this article.
