The 'Cloward-Piven Strategy' is named after Professors Richard Cloward and Frances Piven, both members of the Democratic Socialists of America. As originally explained by David Horowitz, it seeks political change through ‘orchestrated crisis’ by overloading government bureaucracy with extreme demands of continuous crises. The expected result is a profound financial and political crisis causing major economic reform at the national level.
