James Simpson's article noted Cloward and Piven's ‘Strategy’ surfaced in May 1966 in Nation Magazine proposing “grassroots radical organizations push to ever more strident demands for public services at all levels of government” resulting in overloading the system.
The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN), was one of the radical organizations formed with veteran organizer Wade Rathke. They helped push for high-risk mortgage loans which eventually led to the financial crisis of 2007. An equally prominent “achievement” was the "Motor Voter" act signed by Pres. Clinton in 1993 while Cloward and Piven stood behind him. This exploited another ”vulnerability,” the registration of vast numbers of illegal aliens...
