What's great for liberty, philanthropy, the environment, lovers and haters of globalization?....FairTax
Congress insists on picking economic winners and losers through subsidies and tax credits (usually for those with the best lobbyists). FairTax would eliminate all these complicated tax loopholes, lobbyist horse-trading and the incredible burden in time and money of individual filing. Libertarians will like not having to open their files, the poor and the Philanthropists who assist them will have more money without federal income tax and the FairTax on new goods and services ought to encourage conservation, recycling and urban renewal instead of sprawl.
As for those who continue to shout into the tidal wave of economic globalization, FairTax makes earning, saving and employing people more rewarding in the U.S. than abroad. So it fights outsourcing while making U.S. products more competitive in global markets, creating more jobs here. Yes, some will still win and some lose, but a free market with a low tax burden has always been the best driver of growth and stability – just ask the USSR.
Thomas Jefferson was wise when he said we ought to all be able to understand the tax system. Help Foster get us back there. Join FairTax.org, write your congressman or at least tell a friend about FairTax.
